Welcome! I am Natalia (Shuixiunan) Zhang, a Ph.D. student in the Computing + Mathematical Sciences (CMS) department at Caltech, advised by Prof. Adam Wierman and Prof. Eric Mazumdar.

My research interests lie broadly in machine learning theory especially reinforcement learning (RL), multi-agent systems and game theory. I am also excited about connections to LLM, social computing, and mechanism design.

Before joining Caltech, I completed my undergraduate studies in Computer Science at IIIS, Tsinghua University (a.k.a. Yao Class, directed by Prof. Andrew Chi-Chih Yao).
I have conducted research internships at the University of Washington, advised by Prof. Simon Shaolei Du, where I worked on preference-based multi-agent reinforcement learning, and at Tsinghua University, under the guidance of Prof. Zhixuan Fang, exploring learning with multiple LLM-annotators.

Please refer to my CV for more academic details about me.

I like sports especially softball. I am also an active participant in various campus activities. Check out my blog for fun stories about me.
